You new fifth graders are in for a great year--new learning, new adventures, new friends. Hope you had a magnificent summer and are ready to stretch your brain power.

Notes of Interest
- Most nights (except for Fridays) students will have two homework assignments.
- Each month a book report or project will be required. Students will read a book a month and either a book report or a book project will be due on the last school day of the month.
- Homework assignments are part of a student's grade. If a homework assignment cannot be completed, a note from the parent explaining why should be sent to me. More than three unexcused missing assignments during one marking period and the parent will be notified.
- No child will be allowed to go home a different way than normal without a note or phone call from the parent--no exceptions.
